Gidi Culture Festival, an annual festival by Eclipse Live Africa is here for the 5th time since inception. The 1 day festival has continually pushed the culture for African music, doubling in size every year. A maximum capacity of 10,000 is expected at this year’s festival which will hold at Hard Rock Cafe Beach Front.

With over 30 acts covering different genres guaranteed to set the stage alight and the introduction of a Next Gen Stage which will have acts like Tolani, Jinmi Abduls, Ric Hassani amongst others, the line-up is guaranteed to impress.

Gidi Fest has been progressively changing the narrative about Africa and Lagos in particular where it was born. It has continuously promoted Lagos as a safe and secure destination for internal and external tourists.
Over the years they have had visitors from far and wide. Kogi, Cross Rivers, Kwara, and Adamawa; Ghana, LA, Boston, SA, Kenya and Rwanda to name a few.
Last year, in a bid to further promote Lagos and its many fun activities during the Easter season, they curated a calendar in partnership with Nothing To Do in Lagos called
This year, they have built more of their own programming through collaborations with brands that share the same vision like us. Hello Fomo Lagos!

According to the founders of GidiFest, Chin Okeke and Teme Banigo, “The journey began with the need to bring the youth together. The importance of community at a time when creativity was buzzing. We wanted to create a safe space, a movement, that would enable the now generation to channel their energy into building for tomorrow. This is what the people wanted and that’s how it has evolved into the GIDI TRIBE because this is who we are. “GIDI is the TRIBE and the TRIBE is GIDI!” The Gidi Tribe represents the new African generation that refuses to be defeated and defined by their circumstances. It’s an emergence of the young determined individuals coming together to push the boundaries and rewrite the status quo. Millenials unite!

“At a time when African Music is dominating airwaves globally and has the music industry’s attention, there is a need to build at home as much as there is to focus outside. Gidi Culture Fest was born in Lagos, the cultural and economic melting pot of Africa. Home grown with a global outlook. Identity is the key and we are set on ensuring we define ours”.
